President’s Newsletter

January 2025

I’m hoping everyone has a prosperous new year going forward. Aside from our regular
contests our Event Committee will be forging new activities throughout the year. Our
meetings are becoming more organized leaving extra time for presentations at our
upcoming meetings. Several members have been working hard to assemble very
interesting and educational presentations at our meetings. You won’t want to miss
these.
Last year we had several new members join our club and I want to welcome them.
Some are newer operators like me that are looking for learning experiences, personal
mentoring and making new friends. Wayne County Amateur Radio Club has some
highly qualified engineers with knowledge of all aspects of electronics, radio repair,
satellites, antennas, you name it! Additionally, there are ham operators that have been
working with radios most of their lives that have a wealth of experience to share. I’m
looking forward to having more fun, and getting more people involved in amateur radio
into 2025
