President’s Newsletter

November 2024

“As we draw close to the end of the year and our final club meeting, I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the Summer Field Day Event, the Zane Grey Event and the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival booth at the Tommy Gun warehouse that also coincided with the PAQSO party.  I am also thankful for all who contacted me, gave me advice falling into a new presidency, shared their constructive ideas, proposals and participated in volunteering their time and treasure and made me feel welcome as their new President. I also appreciate the support of our entire club overall.

Our members have a lot to offer in the advancement of Amateur radio. I hope I can take advantage of our seasoned Ham operators in the future to give presentations and get more people, particularly young people interested in an exciting hobby.

I feel we have reached an important point in time that many who had not thought of emergency communication are now doing so. My personal experiences with club members and many individuals I have met at our events gives me hope for a renewed interest in Amateur Radio Communications. Most importantly I had a lot of fun this year and made many lasting friends and memories. To our club members, keep up the good work. I look forward to working with everyone into the near future.”
